For this special issue, we deviated from our normal routine of investigating a single destination and covered both Boston and Burlington, VT. While our original focus was on Bostons parks, local eateries, self-powered activities, and world-renowned tours, we couldnt pass up the opportunity to visit Burlington, one of Americas most sustainable communities. In Burlington, we visited Megan Epler Wood, a leading mover and shaker in the sustainable travel movement, and found ourselves enraptured in the towns unique focus on both progress and conservation.
